Prayer Ministry of Building Hope In The City

When we asked Building Hope In The City for specific prayer requests, they gave us an abundance of requests. Therefore, we would like to share these requests with you, and lift our fellow ministry partners up in prayer. Let us praise God for these requests, and boldly approach the throne of grace on behalf of our ministry partners.

  • The continued movement of the Spirit in the lives of refugees, bringing them to know Jesus as their Savior.  We’ve witnessed a couple of professions of faith in just the last couples weeks.  Please ask for this movement to continue and intensify.  Pray God raises up leaders from WITHIN these cultures to be missionaries with us.
  • Provision of vision, the right business model and the Spirit’s guidance for Nehemiah Collaborative, BHITC’s newest effort at Christian community development, repurposing foreclosed houses, church planting and social enterprise to spur renewal in the Clark-Fulton and Stockyards neighborhoods of Cleveland, which are the poorest communities on Cleveland’s west side.
  • Blessings and guidance upon the new strategic planning process BHITC’s Board, staff and key partners will enter into in March 2018.  This process will help define our roadmap for the next 5 years.
  • For greater unity, collaboration and reconciliation within the Body of Christ around urban ministry.  That denominational efforts would align with community development needs, that believers separated by geography, race, culture would be brought together by the Spirit for greater works and a more cohesive witness to urban neighborhoods.
  • Praises of thanksgiving for the expansion of our refugee efforts through the purchase of a building.  That God would give us what we need to expand programming, manage property well and become a great neighbor in West Park.

Thank you all so much for your prayers for Building Hope in the City (BHITC)! God is on the move here in the city, and we thank you for being an integral part in seeing His kingdom advance through the power of prayer. Each month, we will feature a few new prayer requests from BHITC’s staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, donors, ministry partners and others connected to our ministries. We are so grateful for your partnership with us.

In Him,
