The Empowered to Connect Conference is just around the corner! This conference is a valuable resource for a parent of any child, and is a proven ideal parenting technique for children who have experienced trauma of any kind. This conference will also benefit parents of foster and adopted children, children born after high risk or high stress pregnancies, and those who have experienced childhood sickness. Additionally, it can be a beneficial experience for children who have been affected by traumatic events such as divorce, exposure to violence, or those who have learning disabilities, insecurities, emotional disturbances, and more. This is a two-day conference simulcast. This event is in collaboration with Show Hope Ministries and Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development.
Still debating on whether or not to attend? Kirsten Smith, a mother of nine children, shared with us her excitement and reasoning for attending this year!
“My husband Josh and I are so excited to attend the Empowered to Connect Conference. We’ve heard about them for a few years, but never seriously looked into attending. Finding childcare for our nine kiddos can be difficult, especially for an extended period of time. When we were given the opportunity to attend the upcoming conference at Cuyahoga Valley Church, we decided to see if we could make it work. Thanks to two respite providers, my best friend, Josh’s mom, and our regular sitter, we will be at the conference! It takes a small army to watch our kiddos! We are so grateful and we are looking forward to all we will learn at the conference. We are trusting that the Lord will use it to strengthen our marriage, our parenting skills, and ultimately our family.”
We invite you to join us in learning the principles of connecting, correcting, and empowering that have a profound impact on the day to day lives of both parent and children.
